Kurkure momos are usually deep-fried, but these are prepared in an air fryer. This reduces the calorie count significantly, making them better than regular kurkure momos. Also, the filling is made from paneer and tofu, making them rich in protein. These are ideal for those who want to enjoy the same taste without compromising on their health.

The filling includes tofu and paneer, but you can omit the tofu if you don’t like the taste. You can also prepare the filling with just paneer and it will taste just as good. If you decide to omit the tofu, don’t forget to increase the amount of paneer.

How to ensure crispy momos turn out crunchy?

The crunchy texture of Kurkure Momos is the reason why they are loved so much. To achieve this, make sure you arrange them evenly in the air fryer basket. This allows the food to cook evenly, leading to a super crispy texture. Also, don’t forget to apply some oil on the momos before placing them in the basket.

Crunchy Momos Recipe | How to make high-protein crunchy momos

The recipe for these high-protein crispy momos was shared by nutritionist Vaishali Garg on her Instagram. Start by preparing the stuffing. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped garlic, onions, cabbage and carrots to it. Next, add crumbled paneer and tofu to it, followed by soya sauce, vinegar, garam masala, black pepper and salt. Mix it well and keep it aside. Now, prepare the batter by mixing cornstarch with gram flour, salt and Kashmiri red chilli powder. Make a dough using flour, divide it into equal parts and roll it out. Place the prepared paneer stuffing in the centre and shape it into a momo by sealing the edges well. Dip the momos in the gram flour batter, then coat them with jowar flakes
