Actor Deepika Padukone is enjoying her new role as a mother after welcoming her baby girl Dua Padukone Singh on 8 September, 2024. Deepika, who is on a break from work after announcing her pregnant in February last year, recently opened up about her emotional journey for motherhood.

In a recent interview with Mary ClaireDeepika said, “I was doing a lot in eight, nine months of getting pregnant and delivery.” She shared that her pregnancy was not easy, but she realizes that she was blessed to surround the family and friends, who supported her through it.

Deepika and her husband Ranveer Singh took their time to choose the name for their daughter. They wanted to wait until after her birth to understand her personality and find a name that really suited her. Deepika found inspiration in poetry and music and finally suggested the name “Dua” to Ranveer one night through a lesson. He immediately responded to a “yes” and thus decided.

“Dua” means “prayer,” a name that Deepika says beauty is the meaning of her daughter beautifully.

Talking about life after becoming a mother, the 39 -year -old actor said that she is doing well and feels lucky that it is lucky for those who cares regularly and examine them. He said, “I have been very lucky that it is also the support system that is ready to step into happy and whenever I need it,” he said.

Deepika was last seen in ‘Singham Again’, where she played Shakti Shetty with stars like Ajay Devgan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan. She has not announced her next film yet, as she currently focuses on her new life with Baby Dua.
