De De Pyaar De 2 recorded a big drop today on the fourth Friday and it collected only Rs. 10 lakhs to tally. The decline was expected as there is not much fuel left in the film. Moreover, the new weekend release, Dhurandhar has occupied most of the screens, which has pushed De De Pyar De 2 to some of the shows in the country. The film will now add a few lakhs more to its earnings and then the theaters will earn around Rs. The figure of 70 crores.
Ajay Devgan’s film will lag far behind its original film released in 2019. For the record, De De Pyaar De had a net collection of around Rs 95 crore in India. The consolation for De De Pyaar De 2 is that it has performed better than recent rom-com films. However, this is not enough for its success. The film proved to be a box office flop due to its high production costs.
De De Pyaar De 2 suffered huge losses due to poor marketing. Furthermore, mixed word-of-mouth promotion affected its business to a great extent. The market for such unpromising films has gone down badly. The one who was working earlier is not getting many buyers now.
