Nutritionist and dietitian Shweta J Panchal (@dt.shwetashahpanchal) says that lemons, despite their acidity, become alkaline once they hit your stomach acid. Therefore, they help balance your body’s pH level. If you are dealing with acidity, gas or bloating, adding lemons to your routine can do wonders. Just keep in mind, balance is key – aim for a diet that has 80% alkaline foods and 20% acidic foods.
