The latest Indian animated film, Mahavatar Narasima, is doing well at the box office. Directed by Ashwin Kumar, the mythological animation feature recorded better traction on the first Monday than Saturday.
Mahavatar Narasimha collected Rs 4 crore on 1 Monday, Cum Cross Rs 15 crore
Supported by KGF series and Kantara fame’s homebell films, Mahavatar Narasimha surprised everyone with his performance at the box office. The film started Rs 1.35 crore in its early day, followed by Rs 3.25 crore on the second day and Rs 6.75 crore on the big Sunday. It wrapped its early weekends for Rs 11.25 crore.
And now, the film has recorded an unprecedented hold on its first Monday, by registering a jump of 23% in its day 2 business. According to estimates, Mahavatar Narasimha has collected about 4 to 4.50 crores on its first Monday, which is a net point of Rs 15.50 crore in India.

This is a successful beginning of almost dead style in India. Interestingly, Homebell Films have already announced the cinematic universe of 7 Mahavatar animated films. Although we are far from Hollywood in terms of quality in animation, it is a commendable step to change the story in India and revive the style.
