Bhagyashree and her cooking tricks are our favourite. She often shares amazing recipes with fans on Instagram that are not only healthy but also extremely delicious. On Thursday (January 16), the actress showed the audience how to prepare Tilgul. Tilgul, also known as Til Laddu, is a sesame-coated Indian candy. A staple dish of the Makar Sankranti festival, Tilgul is rich in nutritional benefits. Marking new beginnings this Makar Sankranti, Bhagyashree wrote on Instagram, “New beginnings also mean taking care of your health better than yesterday. It’s never too late to start. Sesame seeds are considered a superfood, especially eaten during winters. It has nutritional properties to control blood pressure, improve bone and gut health and support immunity.
The video accompanying the article shows Bhagyashree adding sesame seeds to a pan. She roasts the seeds until they turn light brown and lets them cool on a plate. Next, Bhagyashree adds 1 tablespoon ghee and 3-4 tablespoons jaggery in a separate pan. She mixes them well without adding water.

Bhagyashree recommends using an iron kadhai to increase the mineral benefits. After that, she heats the mixture until it turns light brown and begins to form heat bubbles. Then sesame seeds are added to the pan. The final step involves greasing a plate with butter, pouring the mixture and gently rolling out the mixture. Cut them into strips and enjoy.
According to Bhagyashree, sesame seeds are rich in iron, calcium and other minerals. Vitamin C and E present in sesame seeds are also very good for your skin and hair.

Earlier, Bhagyashree had shared how to prepare crunchy crackers perfect to enjoy with tea or coffee. In the clip uploaded on Instagram, he said, “This is a simple breakfast that you can have with your tea or coffee. It includes pumpkin seeds, flax seeds and sesame seeds. All these seeds give you potassium, magnesium, iron and a lot of fiber.
