A Bengaluru woman decided to join Blinkit as a delivery agent for a day to understand how their processes work. She later shared her experience as well as detailed feedback on X. Her thread has since gone viral, and it has caught the attention of Blinkit’s top leaders. This has prompted many X users to talk about the venture. In the first post in the thread, she wrote that she delivered a few orders around Indiranagar after signing up to become an agent. She called the experience “amazing” and said that she “got to know how the whole system works”. However, she called the Blinkit product team and said “it’s time for you to take a look at the app again.” She explained various parts of the work and described the problems she felt could be fixed.
Have you signed up to be a Blinkit delivery partner and delivered a few orders around Indiranagar today?
and it was amazing
Earned some money, talked to some passengers
It is known how the whole system works
But the Blinkit product team IG is it high time for you to take a look at the app again? pic.twitter.com/wB8uJWoMF0

Later in the thread, she explained why she decided to become a Blinkit agency for a day. She wrote, “For all those who wanted to know why I did it: it was just because I was curious how they do delivery in 10 minutes. Today I know how. And there is inventory management and ops (was more interested in the ops happening in the store than the ride-hailing part)”.
For those who want to know why I did it:
I just wanted to know how they do the delivery in 10 minutes? Today I found out
And the inventory is managed there and the ops (was more interested in the ops happening in the store than the ride hailing part) ✌️

One of the issues she pointed out was the lack of female representation in the illustrations for signing up to become an agent through the app. Sharing the screenshot, she wrote, “I don’t see anyone here who looks like me, basically no female representation. Even if someone wants to become a rider, these illustrations will make them think twice.” She shared another screenshot of Blinkit’s period leave policy, which she praised.
Next, he pointed out that the SMS message he received after signing up to become a delivery agent was misleading. He wrote, “This whole message is very fake. Can you please not give expectations or wrong information to the riders? After delivering a few orders I got to know how difficult it is to earn 50000 and yes, where is my bonus 2K? Didn’t see how to get it or any terms and conditions.” He also felt that the information about medical insurance payments was vague and asked Blinkit to provide clarity through a video or a detailed document.

She pointed out several other issues. After signing up, she said there was “no information for offline verification or what to do or take.” At the Blinkit store, she claimed there was “no proper place for riders to sit and no filter for drinking water”. She said there was “too much dirt to even stand”. She also asked the company to consider having bigger bags, as many items can be delivered at once and the existing bags tear easily. She also said she would “like to understand the pattern of parameters that determine delivery costs.”
Blinkit CEO, Albinder Dhindsa noticed this viral thread. He responded on X, saying, “Thanks for the feedback, Sneha! Good points here. We will pick these up, fix and report back soon.” Blinkit CTO, Sajal Gupta also responded on the thread. Following his response, he mentioned five major changes made to improve the onboarding experience. Take a look below:
Hello Sneha,
Thanks for your feedback! We’ve made the following improvements to our onboarding experience:
– Our images on the app are now inclusive. We will continue to work to make the ground reality equal as well
– Earnings statistics in SMS notifications now show average…
