Basil Joseph is currently enjoying the success of his recent film Praveenkudu Shappu. The actor has given another stellar performance and has enthralled all his fans. Recently, he opened up about venturing into direction and revealed about his rumored project where he will direct Mollywood biggies M-Mohanlal and Mammootty.
For those unaware, rumors of Basil Joseph making a film with both Mohanlal and Mammootty as actors have been doing the rounds for quite some time. And now, in a recent interview with SillyMonks Mollywood, he addressed the same thing.
The Minnal Murali star revealed that he is currently working on a few scripts and considering them, but the shooting of none of them has started. But when it came to his anticipated project with Mammootty and Mohanlal, he clarified that I will do it only when the time is right.
In his words, “I am planning to step away from acting and focus on direction for a while. Work on the scripts of one or two projects is going on, but the shooting has not started yet. This is out of my control, so it didn’t start immediately. Regarding the film with Mammootty and Mohanlal, it will happen at the right time.
Well, in his recent interview during an event for his film Praveenkudu Shappu, Basil grabbed attention with his candid reply after he was constantly compared with actor Dileep.
He mentioned that both of them are completely different from each other when it comes to their acting style and people only compare them because both of them are known as ‘people’s favorite actors’.
However, Basil set the record straight by claiming how he has no interest in being compared to Dilip, who had built his career through his hard work. He said that he wants to establish his own identity without coming under anyone else’s shadow.
