Following the tragic death of the composer in October 2024, AJ McCalin dropped the first look for the final project of Liam Payne. The new Netflix series titled Building the Band The Band was unveiled on 31 May at the Live Event, Tudam of the Streaming Platform. McLean fulfilled her hosting duties and introduced the show for the audience.
Teasing the thrill, McCalin shared that the series is contrary to anything seen by the audience. For Payne’s role, Kelly Rolland and Nicole joined the late singer Judge panel in the panel.
What will be the construction of the band?
Backstruat Boys Star asked to explain what the show was offering to the audience. In his address, AJ McCalin shared, “Today’s most talented singers in the world will audition for each other and select their own bandmates before watching them.”
He added, “Our Judge and Patron, Nicole Sherzinger, and Guest Judge Kelly Rolland and late Liam Payne, are among some of the biggest bands of all times. The show is all about a word: Chemistry. And believe me, in a band, in a band, you really need some good chemistry.”
In the glimpse of the upcoming Netflix show, Judge goes to the studio and in their respective rooms. As they all meet other artists, musicians face difficulty in maintaining chemistry and right rhythm. They talk about how to find your bandmates without being able to see each other.
One of the women is heard saying, “My head has a specific type of group, especially a girl group.” Listening to the performance of other artists, a man says, “I want to see these people so bad.”
If the judges prefer the performance of any contenders, they can press the bajar, which is similar to the voice format.
Sad death of Liam Payne
After the completion of his filming for the show, Payne was led by Buenos Aires to support Niel Horan in his concert. A few days later, the musician died tragically after falling from the balcony of his hotel on the third floor.
Medical officials revealed that the late singer had torn his skull and serious injuries on other parts of his body.
Liam Payne was placed in November to rest, where all his fellow Forest Direction Band participated in the funeral services.
