Ayushmann Khurrana will play the new ‘Prem’ in Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming family drama. The shooting of this untitled film will begin in the summer of 2025.
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to play the new ‘love’ in filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s next family romantic saga. According to reports, the actor is impressed with the script of the film and is keen to collaborate with Barjatya, who is known for delivering iconic family dramas like Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath Saath Hain.
As reported pinkvillaBarjatya, who has previously cast Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Sonu Sood as virtuous love interests in his films, was looking for a fresh face for his upcoming family drama. Looking for someone with strong appeal among family audiences, he chose Ayushmann Khurrana for the role.
A source close to the project shared, “Sooraj ji wanted to cast someone whose image resonated with the family audience, and who better than Ayushmann Khurrana to play the new age love on the big screen There is a good bonding between the two.” And Ayushmann loves the world that Sooraj Barjatya is creating with his next film.”
The source further added, “Sooraj ji feels Ayushmann has the innocence and charm to make love come true perfectly.”
According to the report, Sooraj Barjatya is yet to finalize the female lead for the film, after which he will focus on assembling the rest of the cast. The untitled project is expected to begin shooting in summer 2025.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana has also joined producer Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy world with a ‘bloody’ love story titled Thaama. The actor has played the role of a vampire in the film.
