Arshad Warsi faces criticism for his ‘Joker’ comment on Prabhas
Actor Arshad Warsi has finally reacted to the backlash after comparing Prabhas’ look to that of a Joker in Kalki 2898 AD. Warsi said that this incident has made him more cautious.
Indian actor Arshad Warsi recently found himself in the middle of a minor controversy after receiving criticism from fans following his statement about Prabhas’ character Kalki in 2898 AD. In an exclusive conversation with India Today Digital, Arshad said that at first he was surprised by the negativity, but now he is fine with it.
Arshad talked about the downside of stardom and the negativity that comes with it. He shared that this was the first time he found himself on the wrong side of it. The Banda Singh Choudhary actor said, “Honestly, it’s fine. Everyone has their own point of view. Also, this is a democratic country and everyone is allowed to speak. After the controversy, many people noticed that the actor had turned off his comments section on social media, denying this, Arshad laughed and said that he doesn’t even know how to do that. When asked if the incident had made him cautious about what he says in public, the actor shared, “Absolutely, I have decided that I will love every film I see. I will love every actor throughout my life. Would love to (laughs).”
Arshad Warsi, while talking to YouTuber Samdish Bhatia, had told how Prabhas’ character was made like ‘Joker’ in Kalki 2898 AD. “Prabhas, I’m really sad, why was he… he was like a clown. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson in there.” What did you do to him, friend? Why do you do this? I don’t understand (What have you made of it? Why do they do such things? I can never understand),” he said, praising Amitabh Bachchan’s performance in the film.
The Munna Bhai MBBS actor further said that many people felt that he had created a controversy to promote his next film. When this happened, many people thought that I said this because Banda Singh was releasing.
