Allu Arjun has no fixed salary, follows this business model to become the highest paid actor

Allu Arjun is a global icon who has built his massive empire by entertaining audiences across the world. The National Film Award-winning actor remains one of India’s highest-paid actors. But unlike many stars, he does not work with producers for a fixed fee. Over the year, the South Indian superstar has adopted a profit-sharing model that keeps the producers’ revenues growing without putting a burden on their pockets. Read on to find out how!

No fixed fees, Allu Arjun adopted profit-sharing model?

Allu Arjun’s widespread presence on the big screen and his acting skills helped his films achieve housefuls in theatres. Ideally, actors collaborate with producers on a fixed payment plan. This means that even if the film does not perform well at the box office, their remuneration will not be affected.

But the Pushpa 2: The Rule star has ditched the fixed fee rule and adopted a policy of 30 paise per rupee. According to this rule, the actor gets 30 percent of the money the producer earns from his film as payment. Therefore, the more audiences he is able to attract to the theatres, the more money the project makes, and he takes home a significant portion of the collection.

Elaborating more on Arjun’s payment style, acclaimed producer and columnist, G. Dhananjayan revealed, “What Arjun demands is 30 paise from every rupee earned by the film. If the film collects Rs 1000 crore, Rs 300 crore should go to him. If it earns only Rs 500 crore, he will get only Rs 150 crore. But he is okay with that,” the Indian Express quoted him as saying.

According to the National Award-winning producer, there is no talk of benefits or fixed salary when it comes to the Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo star. Moreover, Allu also does not discuss remuneration with the producers. Since Dhananjayan has backed many films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi languages, he feels this model adopted by the superstar is great.

Sharing how it helps manufacturers, GD explained that it reduces the amount of money manufacturers have to borrow. This, in turn, lowers the interest rate, reduces the overall budget, and helps them turn profits faster. On the work front, Allu Arjun will next be seen in Raaka.
