Alex Baldwin’s lawyer asks questions about gun safety

Alex Spiro, representing the accused actor, asked potential members about gun safety and if they would rather rely on experts than themselves to ensure safety.

The lawyer asked, “Suppose you took your car to a mechanic. And you don’t know anything about cars. And the mechanic told you it was safe. You would believe him, right?”

A potential juror responded that everyone knows one should check whether a gun is real or a toy before shooting it. The actor was present during a pretrial hearing at the First Judicial District Court in Santa Fe, New Mexico on July 8.
