Apple will host its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 from 9 to 13 June. While the annual developer conference is traditionally focused on software platforms such as iOS and MACOS, this year, airpods can steal some spotlight. According to a report by 9to5MAC, Apple plans to promote a serious intelligence with new features such as sleep detection and hands-free camera control to its airpods.

The report shows that Apple is testing many new abilities, the aim of how users interact with airpods in everyday landscapes – without the need for new hardware. One of the standout facilities allegedly in development is Sleep Auto-Pose. Many users fall asleep listening to music or podcast with their airpods, but currently rely on manual sleep timer or third-party workaround.

To help these users, Apple is asked to work on automatic sleep detection, which will prevent a user when it is away from a dozen. It is not clear that this feature will function independently or require integration with Apple Watch, which already tracks sleep, but it will definitely be helpful for gold listeners.

Hope to draw attention is another feature camera control through airpods. Additionally, the report indicates a better airpods for shared iPads on the pairing system, stating that it is designed to make it easier for students to quickly connect their airpods to their airpods without navigating complex Bluetooth settings to the iPads of the school.

While all these features are sound promising, it is important to note that they cannot be announced or not released immediately. Apple often tests features internal or with select beta users before rolling more widely.
