After comedian Sunil Pal, actor Mushtaq Khan has also come forward and said that recently he was kidnapped on the pretext of inviting him to an event. His business partner Shivam Yadav spoke to India Today Digital and shared the ordeal faced by the actor. He told how Mushtaq was called for an award show in Meerut on 20 November. He was also given an advance amount which was transferred to his account and flight tickets were sent. When he landed in Delhi, he was asked to sit in a car and was soon taken to the outskirts of Delhi, said to be somewhere near Bijnor.
Shivam said the alleged kidnappers tortured Khan for about 12 hours and demanded Rs 1 crore as ransom. Ultimately they took more than Rs 2 lakh from the account of the actor and his son. Early in the morning, when Khan heard the morning azaan, he realized that there must be a mosque nearby and ran away from the place. He sought help from the people there and returned home with the help of the police.
“Mushtaq sir and his family were completely shaken by what happened to him. However, he was always sure that he would file an FIR after he had calmed himself down. Yesterday, I went to Bijnor and filed the official FIR. We had a flight There is evidence of tickets, bank accounts and even CCTV footage from near the airport, he recognizes the neighbourhood, even the house where he was kept, Shivam said.
This incident is very similar to the recent incident with comedian Sunil Pal. This also makes one wonder whether there is a syndicate operating to harm celebrities and swindle them of money under the pretext of inviting them to events.
When asked about this, Mushtaq’s business partner said, “We had no knowledge about the case. After Mushtaq sir returned, we talked to some of our close friends about the incident.
