“I had to keep in mind that I was acting contrary to him instead of being lost in his mastery. When Kamal Sir comes, he not only joins his act, but is in everyone’s performance. He notices everyone’s dialogues, our dress and everything else. This is a quality that I loved. I can move forward.”

Simbu has made a spiritual change and now connects the prefix self in its name. In Hinduism, Atman is a word referring to the spiritual life theory of the universe.

“I remember what happened and what I had to hear when I was myself. I believe it was more with age. I was naughty when I was younger, and now you all see me in a different light. I used to be sad if I was not myself at all ages. Now, I understand what life is. So, there is a subtlety,” he said.

Asked about his ideas on spirituality and logicity, he said, “It is up to everyone to imagine the force that is central for the universe. It’s a perspective of one. It’s not whether I am right or another person. People are different religions and both are right. How do I see it.”

In ‘Thug Life’, Silambarson is one of the lead roles with Kamal Haasan. The film is set to grace theaters on 5 June.
