Aan Paavam Polathathu is the story of Shiva, an IT professional who is recently married to Sakthi. The two became close from their first conversation, sharing a progressive outlook towards life.
After 400 days of marriage, Shiva reaches a lawyer’s office to apply for divorce. As he recalls his time with Shakthi, various examples are shown that explain why there are differences of opinion between the couple, including how Shakthi threw him out of his house with the help of another lawyer.
Coincidentally, Shiva’s lawyer, Narayanan, and Shakthi’s lawyer, Lakshmi, were also already married, making the legal conflict even more intense.
Full of dramatic and humorous moments, Aan Paavam Polaththu explores whether Shiva and Shakthi will reunite by compromising on their differences or part ways for good.

Aan Paavam Polaththu stars Rio Raj and Malavika Manoj in the lead roles, reuniting on screen after the 2023 film Joe.
Apart from him, the cast includes RJ Vigneshkanth, Sheela Rajkumar, Jensen Dhiwakar, A. Venkatesh, Raja Rani Pandian, Uma Ramachandran, Reshmi Karthikeyan, Anupama Kumar, Elango Kumanan, Aniruth, Deepa Shankar, Anjali Ameer and many others play the lead roles.
Co-written and directed by Kalaiyarasan Thangavel with Shivakumar Murugesan, the film was produced by Vedikaranpatti S and Sakthivel under the banner of Drumsticks Productions.
The film’s music and background score was composed by Siddhu Kumar, while the cinematography was by Madhesh Manickam. Varun KG served as editor.
Following its theatrical release, the film received generally positive reviews from critics.
Rio Raj’s previous film
Rio Raj was last seen in the lead role in the rom-com Sweetheart, co-starring Gopika Ramesh. She also played a small role in Vikram Prabhu’s Love Marriage.
