Khan, who recently confirmed that he and Gauri are set to get married on July 5, said they have opted for a simple registered wedding between close family and friends. In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, the actor revealed that the couple had no plans for any grand celebration and wanted to make the occasion a private affair.
The 61-year-old actor said, “It will be a very simple registered wedding at home, with just both our families and really close friends. We both want to keep it very basic.”
Khan introduced Spratt to the media for the first time on his 60th birthday earlier this year and officially confirmed their relationship. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting details about the couple’s wedding plans.
Earlier, in an interview diversity india, Khan had confirmed his marriage to Spratt. The actor said, “Yes, it’s true. But now we both feel that we are ready to take our relationship to the next level.”
The actor said he was already married to Spratt at heart and that the marriage felt like “a natural progression of their partnership.”
He said, “I am at peace. Gauri and I are serious about each other and we are very committed. We are partners, we are together. In my heart, I am already married to her.”
Bengaluru-based Gauri Spratt, who has deep roots in the wellness industry, balances her professional life with raising her seven-year-old son, Quinn, from her previous marriage. Her lineage connects her directly to history as the granddaughter of Philip Spratt, a British-born communist who traveled to India during the 1920s and later involved himself in the country’s freedom struggle.
Khan’s first marriage was to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Junaid and Ira. She later married film producer Kiran Rao and has a son, Azad.
