Actor R Madhavan recently talked to ‘Satan’ about his most challenging sequence. Talking to actor Kajol, in a conversation, Madhavan recalled how the urine scene in the supernatural horror took an emotional toll over him.

The actor, who was interacting with Kajol on YouTube channel for ‘Ma’, felt disgusted about the shot. In the sequence where her character forces her daughter to dance continuously, as a result of which she was wetting herself due to physical stress, Madhavan said, “This was a very sensitive scene.”

“This is the moment where I dance to my daughter through the night. She arrives at a point where she cannot urge it anymore. In the original version of the film, the approach to the scene was different. But here, I realized that even as a villain, even if I saw her during that moment, it would send a completely different message.

‘Kesari – Chapter 2’ the actor further said, “Therefore, I wrapped myself in a blanket, deliberately to avoid seeing it. That decision not only worked for the character, but gave me relief as an actor. I can stay emotionally away, while still true for the role. I can only tell mother, ‘Can you help your daughter?”

Madhavan concluded, “During the filming there were many moments that made me deeply uncomfortable. But I had to find ways to be authentic by protecting myself emotionally.”

‘Shaitan’ directed by Vikas Bahl was Hindi conversion of the Gujarati film Vash ‘(2023). It included Ajay Devgan, Jyothika and Janaki Bodiva along with Madhavan among the judges. The film is about a family held hostage by a mysterious person who controls the mind on his daughter through witchcraft.

Kajol’s upcoming mythological-hurry ‘Ma’ is a spin-off for ‘Satan’. Both films are produced by Devgan films.
