The much awaited Housefull 5 Global is gearing up for a good start at the Akshay Kumar in the lead, its advance booking depicts an encouraging picture, especially in New Zealand. The fifth installment of the famous franchise has recorded US $ 28,000 in Gross advance booking for its early day in New Zealand. It has secured its place as the fifth tallest opener for a Bollywood film in the market.
The figure proceeds Housefull 5 ahead of Heavyweight like Tiger 3 (Saturday), Fighter (Thursday), and Dunki (Thursday), only behind Jugornots like Pathan (Wednesday), Animal (Friday), Jawan (Thursday), and Padmavat (Friday). This achievement is a will for the longevity of the franchise.
The Housefull series has consistently hit a raga with the New Zealand audience. Its strong advance performance in New Zealand should not be as surprise, given that the previous installments have also been ranked in the top 10 Bollywood openers in the market during their respective release periods. Housefull 2 was the biggest Bollywood opener, Housefull 3 was 6th largest and Housefull 4 was the third largest. Comedy, anarchy and chartbuster music franchise continues to resonate with the signing mixture kiwi.
Beyond New Zealand, the film is showing promising traction in other international markets. In Australia, advance booking for an early day has reached an impressive USD 67,000. The UAE, another major sector for Bollywood release, is also looking at concrete speed, which is estimated to sell around 10,000 tickets in its series for the early day with Volks theaters. Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, advance booking is moving towards a healthy 15,000 euro.
These figures collectively point towards a strong international opening for Housefull 5, with initial estimates, weekends have been estimated in the range of 3.5 to 3.75 million USD. Akshay Kumar’s good nude can top the list as it had better booking in a big traditional market like US-Canada than the upcoming release.
In the film’s India booking, Housefull 5 has sold more than 80,000 tickets in top national series before its release and it should end in the area around 90,000 tickets if the current trend is for the next few hours.
