Bring Chinmai Back: Samantha supports the singer after being shadow-stricken for 8 years
Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared the viral clip of singer Chinmai Sripada with the ‘Thug Life’ music launch event. He questioned the ban on the singer from 2018.

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has joined the growing support for singer Chinmai Sripada as his performance at the ‘Thug Life’ song launch event went viral. Samantha took his social media handle to praise Chinmai’s singing skills. He questioned the reason behind the ban on the singer.
In a video shared by Samantha, Chinmai was seen singing her version of ‘Muttha Majai’, sung by loose for ‘Thug Life’. While Loose sang in Tamil, Chinmai provided his vocals for the Telugu and Hindi versions of the song in ‘Thug Life’.
Samantha re -prepared the clip on his Instagram story, which was captioned, “Is this voice banned since 2018? Muttha Majahai – Chinmai version. Bring Chinmai back.”
Chinmai was expelled from South Indian cine, television artists and dubbing Artists Union (SICTADAU) in 2018. The singer faced a ban to publicly voicing his support for women who accused the then President of the Sangh, actor-prose-royalty Radha Ravi of sexual harassment. He first expressed solidarity towards women for his brave stance regarding the report of HEMA Committee.
Chinmai, known to be vocal about metu cases in the entertainment industry, praised the team’s hard work behind members of women in the HEMA Committee and Cinema Collective (WCC) in an interview. Today IndiaHe said, “The most important thing I want to mention here is that the WCC salutes. They have come together to do something important. It has not been done in any other industry so far. Everyone knows about these open ways in all industries. We are talking about sexual harassment and sexual abuse and misuse of power in many other industries.”
The singer accused Lyricist Vairamuthu of sexual misconduct and talked about it several times. Not only Chinmai, about 20 women have made serious allegations against the lyricist. Known for her outspoken statements, Chinmai took a jib in the award -winning lyricist to suggest the hema committee like panels across the country.
She took her ex handle and wrote, “Anywhere this Tamilian Harvey Wenstein will be investigated very little. There is evidence in gang rape cases and justice is not found in our country, so the wish of justice is very high in India. About 20 women have named Vairamthu, yet a special wiring is required.”
Chinmai recently thanked the fans after his performance at the ‘Thug Life’ Music Launch event. She took her to Instagram and wrote, “I met so many DMs from so many people, but somewhere, somehow, somehow, if I was able to believe someone – that it is not your shame – I am thankful that this lifetime gave me that opportunity.”

Chinmai has dubbed for ‘Leo’ (2023) and ‘Hi Nanna’ (2023) for Trisha Krishnan and Mrinal Thakur respectively.
