Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Ritsih Deshmukh starring in the lead roles, are making headlines before its release for the right reasons. Recently, the trailer of the much awaited film was released, and it promises a fun rollercaster ride. Now, according to a report, CBFC has been cut in 11 seconds from the film before giving the U/A16+ certificate.
Yes, you heard that right! A report by the Bollywood Hungama states that the manufacturers had to make some small changes in Housefull 5, including some dialogues and to pass some scenes of about 11 seconds, to pass the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Many changes were made before the U/A 16+ certificate was given. Dialogues like ‘Nickel Dungi’ and ‘Apne’ were edited. Words such as ‘items’ and ‘haram’ were replaced with more suitable options, and a dialogue was ordered to be removed at a 53-minute mark of 1-hour.
In addition to the above dialogues, the film got three scenery cuts. According to the cut list, a scene was trimmed depicting ‘Champagne Coming’, while two scenes characterized by some hand gestures were ‘appropriately modified’. Additionally, a scene with ‘erotic visuals’ was reduced to 2 seconds. Overall, the 11 -second footage was trimmed by the final cut. Only after these changes were made, Housefull 5 received a sensor certificate from CBFC.
Earlier, Pinkvilla specifically stated that the manufacturers presented two separate versions of the comedy thriller to CBFC. The source also shared that the run-time of Housefull 5 is longer than other films of the film, given the film’s long star-stod actors, which is 2 hours and 43 minutes.
