Actors Ajay Devgan and Kajol spoke in support of the eight -hour work shift for new mothers. In the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Ma’, the pair came in support of the growing demand in the film industry.
Kajol was asked if it is appropriate for new mothers to ask for less work hours, especially when some people think it is not practical. Kajol smiled and said, “I love the fact that we can do less work.”
Ajay Devgan interrupted and said, “It is not that it is not recovering with the people. Most honest filmmakers, I will say, there will be no problem with it and apart from this, being a mother and working for eight hours, people have usually started working for eight to nine hours in an innings. So I think I feel that this person is a person for a person,”

Kajol’s film ‘Maa’, directed by Vishal Furia, tells the powerful story of a mother that turns into a goddess Kali to fight an ancient evil. The film also stars Indranil Sengpta, Jitin Gulati and Kherin Sharma.
The film is produced by Ajay Devgan and Jyoti Subbarayan, which is a script of Saivin Quadras. The music is by Harsh Upadhyay, Rocky Khanna and Shiva Malhotra. ‘Ma’ will be released in theaters on 27 June.
