Ajay Devgan’s return as IRS officer Amay Patnaik in Raid 2 became fruitful for the producers. Released on May 1, the film has successfully completed 25 days in theaters today and a solid figure for a mid-size film has come.
Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, RAID 2 began his box office trip on a solid note, collecting Rs 92.75 crore a week. The film wooed the audience and added Rs 38.85 crore in its second week, followed by Rs 19 crore in the third week. It gathered Rs 80 lakh on Friday and entered the fourth weekend, while faced with a tough competition by Mags forgiven.
Ajay Devgan starrer added Rs 1.50 crore on his fourth Saturday, with a nominal increase. According to estimates, it wrapped another Rs 1.75 crore on its fourth Sunday, wrapped the weekend on a net of Rs 4.05 crore. The total box office collection of Raid 2 is now Rs 154.65 crore at the Indian box office. Thriller drama is expected to abolish its dramatic run in India under a mark of Rs 165 crore.
