In short

  • iPhone 17 air is 5.5 mm thick measuring and weighing just 145 grams
  • According to a recent report, the phone can pack 2,800mAh battery
  • 17 air price in India will start from Rs 89,900

The race to create the thinnest flagship smartphone is clearly. Samsung is already launching the Galaxy S25 edge at just 5.8 mm thick, Apple is getting ready to give a strong response. The iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be launched with the rest of the iPhone 17 lineup in September, is already a star of the rumor mill, thanks to its alleged ultrasselim design. The leak suggests that it can be just 5.5 mm thicker and weighs about 145 grams, making it one of the lightest and thin iphones. But when the smooth body and light frame exciting sound is exciting, it is the battery that has now become the center of conversation.

According to a recent post Korean blog boaterThe iPhone 17 can pack the battery of 2,800mAh. It is quite small for a phone that facilitates a 6.6-inch display and runs on top-tier hardware. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 Edge – Management to offer a battery of almost the same – 3,900mAh in thickness. This raises a proper question: Is a lot of battery renouncing life in the name of Apple Design?

There may be a silver lining. Apple is reportedly using a new type of high-gradation battery that can provide more useful power despite the small number on paper. If it works expected, then 15–20 percent can be better than suggesting real-life battery performance numbers. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had earlier indicated in this innings, saying that 2025 iPhones would bring better battery technology. The air model can be one of the first people to show that change.

Other rumored characteristics include the 6-core A19 chip, which is possibly made using the 3Nm process of the TSMC and using storage up to 512GB. Interestingly, the phone may also be one of the first non-pro iPhone to provide 12 GB RAM facility, which matches the rumor configuration of the iPhone 17 Pro. This may be associated with Apple’s push for AI features, as more memory will be required for power equipment such as Apple Intelligence and Visual Intelligence.

The rear camera is expected to be a single 48-megapixel lens, possibly used in the same iPhone 16 Pro, while the front camera can get a collision for 24 megapixels. The device is also likely to support 35W wired charging and magsafe wireless charging. Other expected features include the action button, a new camera control button, IP68 water resistance and possibly OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.

In terms of pricing, the iPhone 17 is a huge rumor to replace the plus model to the air, which means that it can sit between the standard and the Pro model in pricing – possibly the possibility of starting from Rs 89,900 in India.

As always, these are still leaks and rumors, so it is best to wait for official details. Stay on today’s technology for India for all the latest on the iPhone 17 series.
