Actor Randeep Hooda is ready to act in a new battle drama called ‘Operation Khori’ in 2000 by the Indian Army based on a real -life rescue mission. The film will bring one of India’s most courageous and low-term military operations conducted in Sierra Leon, West Africa.

The story follows 233 Indian soldiers who were part of the peace mission of the United Nations and were trapped by rebel forces for 75 days without food, water or help. Deeply surrounded the enemy’s area, these brave soldiers refused to give up.

Randeep Hooda will play the role of Major General Raj Pal Punia, who was a young officer at that time and played an important role in leading the rescue mission to save his men. The film will show how he and his team fought intense forest and managed to bring soldiers home safely.

The film is based on the Bestseling Book ‘Operation Khukri: The Untold Story of the Indian Army’s most Bravest Peacekeeping Mission’, and the rights are officially acquired by Rahul Mitra Films and Randeep Hooda films.
