Naseeruddin Shah remembered to work ‘3 shifts’ for money only: no bad torture
Naseeruddin Shah talked about the struggles to shift many films for money and called it a painful experience. His wife, Ratna Pathak Shah shared how she always gives her best in her best, even small roles, and praised Naseeruddin’s deep dedication to her art.

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah recently opened up about the harsh realities of working in the film industry and individual toll can take it to an artist. He remembered after working in three back-to-back shifts a day.
But speaking Adventure theater Podcast, the acclaimed actor recalled a time when the financial requirement pushed him to take him to several film projects simultaneously, a decision that he later regretted.
“I have shifted three shifts in a day, and there is no worse torture in the world. There was a time when I was just acting in many films for money. And I realized that no zodiac sign is worth this pain, jumping from one set to another,” Shah shared.
Reflecting those busy days, Shah highlighted the often uneven realities of the film industry. “Half of the time, you are simply socialized on the set. You arrive for shifts at 9 o’clock, then spend another hour either have breakfast, enjoy the scenes, and gossip. I know that there is someone who loves,” his wife and fellow actor Ratna Pahik Shah.
Ratna, who also participated in the conversation, presented his view on work and artistic commitment. “I have done very little work that is of high quality. Most of my work has been on television, so when we talk about great art, the kind of quality we mention is not there. But I realized that if I do not give it all, if I do not apply the same skills while doing theater, it does not seem nor right,” she said.
He said, “I do so much work that I cannot find myself to cheat in it. I understand that if I am shifting four in a day, I am just divided into one and will move forward. But if after two years a drama or any role comes to me, at least I should work hard on it.”
The couple’s honor for each other’s work was clear when the gem was speaking on Fici Flow Hyderabad SummitSaid that she praises Naseeruddin’s strong attention at her work, but it also makes a little jealousy. “I love the fact that he is fully focused on his work, and he is the most generous person to act as a director, as an actor, as a director. As a director. As a director, he helps every person to reach the best way he is able to reach.”
Naseeruddin Shah was recently seen under the direction of ‘Fateh’, Sonu Sood, with Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raj and Dibedendu Bhattacharya. Released in February, the cyber-thriller followed the trip to the East-agent fighting the cyber mafia, but obtained mixed reviews and minor box office returns, making Rs.
