Mission is Impossible 8 Yon Fest, Mess Up Great Franchise: Director Kunal Kohli
Filmmaker Kunal Kohli recently reviewed Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible: 8. Expressing his disappointment with the new sequel, he called it ‘Yon Fest’.

Actor Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission Impossible: The Final Recking’ has created a lot of enthusiasm among its Indian fans since its release. However, the film has received mixed reactions from franchise fans. Filmmaker Kunal Kohli posted the film’s criticism on his Instagram story, called it ‘Yon Fest’.
While sharing the poster of the film on Instagram, Kohli captioned his post, “He impossible. A #MInsionimpossible film messed up. What a yon fest. The sad of one of the biggest franchises ever.
Despite being critical on Kohli’s film, it received a five -minute plus standing ovation at the 78th Cannes International Film Festival.

‘Mission Impossible: The Final Recking’ is the eighth installment in the ‘Mission Impossible’ franchise. The film takes forward the events of ‘Mission Impossible: Deedraconing’. This shows the IMF (impossible Mission Force) agent Ethan Hunt and his team to run against time, showing an evil artificial intelligence that can destroy humanity.
‘Mission Impossible: The Final Recking’ is based on the 70s American television show ‘Mission Impossible’ by Bruce Galer. The film features Hele Etwell, Wing Rums, Simon Peg, Henry Kazarni, and Angela Baiset as important characters. The action-thriller is co-produced by cruise and McAcvery, and is distributed by paramount pictures. It is written and directed by Christopher McAcarry and co-written by Eric Genderson.

‘Mission Impossible: The Final Recking’ was released on May 17, 2025 in India. It will be released US dramatic on 23 May 2025.
