In 2008, Karan Johar, along with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, worked in the Comic Capper, Dostana, which proved to be a fugitive success at the box office. Since then, there has been a conversation about the film, who has been taking himself to a franchise, and it seems that 18 years later, the manufacturers are ready to roll with a sequel. According to sources close to development, Karan Johar Vikrant Masi has been closed to lead Dostana 2 with Laxman.
“Dostana 2 has been in development in religion for some time, and manufacturers have cracked an ideal script that can move the franchise forward in a progressive manner. Vikrant Massey With Laxman, and the female lead will mark the launch pad of a debut as the lead. The producers are aiming to take a film on the floor in January 2026 and release at the end of the next year, “revealed a source close to development.
The source further confirmed that unlike the rumors, the Dostana sequel would be released a large screen. The source said, “Dostana 2 is being conceptualized as a dramatic film, with friends, comedy, romance and drama. Negotiations are going on with filmmakers, and a director will be closed in a fortnight.”
Wikrant Massey Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will finish shooting for the biopic, and before going to Dostana 2 by the end of 2025, Don 3. The actor is picking up scripts from across the styles in commercial space. Talking about religion, the banner is getting ready for the release of Dhadak 2 and Sunny Sanskari in 2026, and this year Tu Meri Main Main is ready to kick the main tera tera tu meri and Nagzila.
