iPhone 18 Pro Display Faced, signal will be facilitated under new leakage
Apple is allegedly working on under-display face ID technology, enabling punch-hole camera cut-out. The 2026 Automatic iPhone 18 Pro Series has been asked to debut with this new display upgrade.
Listen to the story

The iPhone 18 Pro may have a punch-hole camera cut-out. According to several reports, Apple is working on its under-display face ID technology that will remove the current face ID sensor-which is mainly placed with a selfie camera in the table-shaped position. This means that the future iPhone may have a punch-hole cut-out for selfie cameras and a more usable display area can be offered. And if the reports are believed, this change can expect the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro with Max -Models to come in 2026.
Industry analyst Ross Young recently revealed in a post on X (East Twitter) that Apple is planning to introduce its under-pane face ID with 2026 iPhones. “At the SID Business Conference today, Michael Hellander, CEO of Oti Lumionics, confirmed that he expects a phone with under-pane face ID using his content to be available in 2026. It shows that the iPhone18 Pro model will have under-paanal face ID, to follow other brands and models,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Young also noted that Apple is also working on under-display selfie camera. However, this feature is reportedly still low development.
Their report is based on earlier reports, such as the Ven MA of information, which suggested that Apple is testing a new display setup, where only selfie camera will appear through a small hole in the top-left corner of the screen. If it is accurate, it will represent the most important front-facing design change since the introduction of notch with the iPhone X.
Android is better than phone
The idea of punch-hole camera cut-out is certainly not new and in fact, Android users have been chosen as a throat point to make fun of iPhone users. However, reports suggest that if Apple Under-Display introduces face ID, technology may be better than Android counterparts in both functionality and security. Although Apple is late in this upgrade, it is said that the company is aimed at achieving perfection.
Apple is known to scrap the features that do not meet its stringent quality standards, especially when users include safety and privacy. As a result, the technique may be delayed if it fails to complete Apple’s benchmark. And similar situation is happening with under-display face-ID.
According to reports, while many Android manufacturers have long applied under-display fingerprint sensor and 2D face recognition, Apple’s face ID can be more sophisticated and safe due to possible use of 3D sensor and dot projector.
Apple has also filed several patents
Adding weight to these rumors is recently apple patent filing that underlines a method to embed the biometric sensor – such as under the screen used for face IDs. These patents describe how Apple aims to maintain the accuracy of facial recognition using special performance layers that allow infrared lights to pass when preserving image quality. While Apple files hundreds of patents each year – and not all commercial products result – they often present a glimpse in the company’s development priorities.
More on iPhone 18 Pro
Beyond the visual redesign, the iPhone 18 Pro model is expected to include a host of the under-hood upgrade. Reports suggest that the iPhone 18 Pro Max may have a variable aperture camera system, allowing it to suit individual lighting conditions and improve low-light photography. The core of these devices is expected to have a new A20 chip, which is likely to be manufactured using the 3Nm process of the third generation of TSMC.
