Later this week, three new releases were observed in Malayalam Box Office-Prince and Family, Padakkalam and Circate. All three films complete a similar part of the audience. Among all the three titles, Dileep starrer Prince and Family released on Friday 9 May, while the other two made their debut a day earlier. The Prince and Family led the conflict with a good gap despite being less one day in their early weekends. The film opened with Rs 80 lakh on 1, after which it was Rs 90 lakh on day 2, the two -day cum was grossed by Rs 1.70 crore. According to estimates, it added Rs 1.25 crore on day 3 (Sunday), making the total box office gross of Rs 2.95 crore in Kerala.
Conversely, Padkkalam and Circle were far behind with their average trends in the weekend. Both titles started their box office trip by clocking Rs 35 lakh on 1 every day. Further, Padakkalam showed better trends than Sarkke. While East wrapped his first weekend for Rs 1.80 crore, later he could add only Rs 1.25 crore in the first four days.
Although Dileep starrer is winning at the box office, all three releases have been heavyly dent by Mohanlal’s Thudram, which is bringing a storm at the box office even in its third week. Let’s see how these films will perform in the week.
