When Nimrat Kaur remembered the terrorists while killing her father: abducted, finished
Actor Nimrat Kaur is the daughter of an army chief who was martyred in 1994. In an interview, he once remembered what he remembered from the day when he realized that he had lost his father to terrorism.

Actor Nimrat Kaur once opened her father, Major Bhupendra Singh about losing to a terrorist attack. Posting about the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack last month, Kaur called herself a ‘daughter’s daughter’. In an old interview that is now going viral, the actor recalled the 1994 winter when his father was kidnapped and ‘finished’ in the valley.
He told Etimes“He was a young army chief, an engineer posted at a place called Verinag (the first valley after the Jawahar Tunnel on the way from Jammu to Srinagar). Kashmir was not a family station, so we continued to live in Patiala when we went to Kashmir.”
Kaur is known for his performance in ‘The Lunchbox’, ‘Dasvi’ and ‘Airlift’ of films, shared among others that the terrorists made some ‘ridiculous demands’, which could not be fulfilled. The actor revealed that the terrorist organization Hib-ul-Mujahideen was responsible for the attack.
“We were on our winter leave in January 1994 and went to meet his father in Kashmir when Hizb-ul-Mujahideen kidnapped him from his place of work and after seven days, finished him.
Kaur never decided to return to the valley. However, it was after a special screening of ‘The Lunchbox’ in the ear that she finally visited the valley, and stopped in Verinag for a few days in search of some shutdown.

The 43 -year -old also appreciated the efforts of the army in always standing by a martyr’s family. He said in a single interview: “But, the army is standing like a rock by you. They are your family, and even today, they will come on a drop of a hat if you want anything, and they will do anything for you. I also think it is my father’s goodwill and their relationship with people.”
Kaur’s father was posthumously awarded the Shaurya Chakra of the Citizen and Military Bravery Award of India. He was honored on the actor’s birthday on 13 March. She joins Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Anushka Sharma, Akshay Kumar, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Gul Panag, Neha Dhupia, Preity Zinta and Arjun Rampal, who are from army families.
