A few days ago, we asked cinema lovers to vote for the film in which they feel that Nawazuddin Siddiqui did an impressive job. Voters were given five options, ie Gangs of Wasipur, Raman Raghav 2.0, Badlapur, Hadi, and Motichur Chaknachur. Among them, the two-part epic Black Comedy Crime film starred by Anurag Kashyap won with 100% votes.
To refresh its memory, the first part of the film appeared in June 2012, while the second part was released in August 2012. Over the years, the film has gained the status of a creed classic with the audience, with its story, performance and raw and realistic filmmaking. Apart from Siddiqui, many other actors, including Manoj Bajpayee, Pankaj Tripathi, Richa Chaddha, Jaideep Ahlawat, Huma Qureshi and Tigmanshu Dhulia, played a key role in the A-lying film.
Mass Entertainer told the story of the coal mafia (mafia raj) of Dhanbad and the Shakti struggle between the three crime families. For unknown, Nawazuddin’s depiction of Faizal Khan was highly praised, in which the actor received a special mention in the 60th National Film Awards.
In earlier conversation with mid-day, the ACE actor opened on rumors of the potential Part 3 of the iconic film. He told the publication that director Anurag Kashyap is not making a film, and he will not act in it. The Hadi was also in a hurry to tell the actor that he often receives similar proposals, even people were suggested to make a film around their character.
On his professional front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently played the role of Goa Customs Officer Costams Officer Costams Fernandes in Costao, Costao. The Sejal Shah director was released on 1 May 2025 on Zee5.
