Samara is a Malayalam Vigyan-Fi thriller who originally hit the large screen in 2023. Directed by Charles Joseph, the film received mixed reviews at the box office, although the performance of Rahman and Bharat was widely praised. While it was available online to international audiences, the film is now ready to make its digital debut in India almost two years after its release.
When and where to see Samara
Samara will start streaming on Manorama Max from 30 April. Announcement post on the social media of OTT veteran, “The Thriller Movie ‘Samara’ in which Rahman, Bharat, Sanjana Dipu, Binj Villya, Rahul Madhav directed for the first time by Charles Joseph, will be in the lead roles from April 30th.”

Official trailer and Samara’s plot
Samara Dr. Follows Allen’s story, who is a former army doctor, who lives a quiet life in the mountains. His peaceful world changes when his daughter comes to travel, travel. Soon after, strange and dangerous events begin to happen to him. At the same time, the police officer comes to investigate a series of disturbing murders in Antony area.
Together, Allen and Antony realize that a malignant virus is at the center of all this. This virus created during World War II, converts people into violent, uncontrollable creatures. The only known treatment is with an elderly woman living in Germany. As they excavate deeply, Allen and Antony expose a large terrorist conspiracy tied to the virus. Alan also learns that his own past is closely associated with the danger he is facing. Now, they should work rapidly to prevent the virus from spreading, before it leads to widespread chaos.
