NMDC Ltd.(down 2.12%), Oriental Trimax Ltd.(down 1.88%), Coal India Ltd.(1.36%), Arrow Granite Industries Ltd.(down 1.07%), Pokarna Ltd.(down 0.85%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (down 0.59%) and Ashapura Minechem Ltd (down 0.41%) were among the day’s top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index rose 36.75 points to close at 23537.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 131.18 points to close at 77341.08.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 2.68%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (up 2.15%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (2.15%), Grasim Industries Ltd. (1.99%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (1.86% , Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 1.58%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 1.49%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (up 1.46%), Hero Motocorp Ltd. (up 1.33%) and Nestlé India Ltd. (up 1.27%). Nifty was among the top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 2.41%), Cipla Ltd. (down 2.41%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 1.7%), Coal India Ltd. (down 1.36%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 1.11%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 0.88%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 0.78%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 0.77%), Axis Bank Ltd. (down 0.76%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd. (down 0.74%) closed in the red.
