Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on Friday apologized for harassing a part of people with his racist remarks on social media. His apology demanded the registration of an FIR against him in the case following an official complaint to the Mumbai Police. The complaint was filed by the head of the BJP’s Legal Advisory Department, Advocate Ashutosh J Dubey, who said Kashyap’s remarks against the Brahmins ‘insulting’ and said that legal action should be taken against him.

He later tagged Anurag Kashyap an ex-post slamming for his comment, and tagged the Mumbai Police demanding ‘appropriate action’. His post reads, “I have officially submitted a complaint to @Mumbaipolice, which demands registration of an FIR against @auragkashyap72 for its derogatory and casteist remarks against the Brahmin community” Brahmin community “”Main Mutovonga on Brahmin .. Any problem?“Such indecent language cannot be tolerated in a civil society. The law should take its syllabus (SIC).”

He said, “I respectfully request @Mumbaipolice to take appropriate legal action and register an FIR against Mr. @Anuragakashap 72 for his behavior. If there is a possible threat to public arrangements by a person, it should be addressed as a proper process of law to protect and ensure society.”

In another post, he referred to himself as a ‘member of the Brahmin community’ and said Kashyap’s remarks had ‘deepened’.

He wrote, “As a member of the Brahmin community, I am deeply angry with this derogatory and disgusting comment made by Anurag Kashyap:” Brahmin Pe Motoong .. Any problem? “Such a statement is not only casteist, but also violates the principles of dignity and equality protected under our Constitution. (SIC).”

Earlier this week, Kashyap is known for his controversial statements and matters of national importance on the industry, biased with the ‘Phule’ team after objections by members of the Brahmin community against the contents of the film. In a strong note on social media, the popular filmmaker asked if Indians never faced caste-based discrimination before or after independence.

Later, when a social media user targeted him for his statement and wrote, “Brahmin, you are father. Jina Tuhari will be able to make Utina Tumari Sugayen (I will urinate on Brahmins… any problem?) (SIC). ,

On Friday night, the director released a public apology for his provocative comments. Sharing a wide note on Instagram, Kashyap wrote, “No action or speech is worthy of your daughter, family or friends.”

His apology has been read, “This is my apology, not for my post, but for that one line taken out of reference and hate hatred. Any action or speech is not worth rape and death threats to the kingpins of rites to threaten rape and death for your daughter, family, friends and colleagues. (SIC). (SIC).

He continued, “So, if it is an apology that you are looking for then it is my apology. Brahmins, please leave women – even the scriptures teach this very decency, not only Mansmriti. Decide yourself what kind of Brahmins you are.

Meanwhile, ‘Phule’, directed by Anant Mahadevan, plays the role of teachers, social reformers and Indian visionary Jyotiba Phule, and Savitribai Phule respectively. The film is based on a couple’s fight against cast and gender discrimination to provide equal rights to women in the country.

It was originally scheduled to release on 11 April. However, after objections by some Brahmin groups, including the All India Brahmin Samaj, Hindu Mahasagha, and Parashuram Arthik Vikas Mahamandal, others pushed the release date on 25 April.
