Openai has been announcing a group of new features since the end of December, many of which gained a lot of popularity, which in turn helped the platform dramatically increase its user base. In fact, in a conversation with Ted Curator Chris Anderson, Sam Altman revealed that in the last few weeks Chatgpt has almost doubled its user base.

After launching a default image generating tool in GPT-4O at the end of last month, the company’s user base especially increased. As users from all over the world began to test the feature, they realized that the image -creating device is especially good in imitating the art of studio ghibali style. The trend quickly went viral and people began to convert their images into #ghiblistyle images. It became so popular that Openai COO Brad Lichap shared a week after the launch of the feature that 130 million users produced more than 700 million drawings at Chatgpt over that period.
