Ahead of her wedding today on June 23, Sonakshi Sinha along with her mother Poonam Sinha performed a religious ceremony at her home Ramayan in Mumbai. Several videos and photos from the ceremony were shared on social media.

In the video, Sonakshi, dressed in a simple blue suit, is seen sitting in front of the holy fire next to her mother Poonam and performing a puja while the pandits chant mantras. After the ceremony, the actress gave a quirky pose for the paparazzi standing outside her house and then headed inside. Meanwhile, Poonam Sinha greeted the photographers with a gentle smile and thanked them for coming. Shatrughan Sinha also attended the ceremony with his daughter and wife.

Sonakshi’s friends, actress Huma Qureshi and her actor brother Saqib Saleem, joined the Dabangg actress at her residence.

On Saturday evening, Shatrughan Sinha was spotted stepping out of his well-decorated house with his wife Poonam. The veteran actor posed for the cameras and greeted the paparazzi with a bright smile.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal will get married under the Special Marriage Act. After completing the legal formalities, the couple will host a wedding reception for their friends and family members at Bastian in Mumbai. The guest list includes Sonakshi’s ‘Heeramandi’ co-stars Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari and Richa Chadha among others.

A few days ago, the couple’s wedding invitation was widely shared on the Internet. It also carried an audio message from the couple. They said, “To all our hip, tech-savvy and spy friends and family members who managed to come across this page, namaste… Over the past seven years that we have been together, all the love, happiness, laughter and many adventures have brought us to this moment. The moment when we go from being each other’s rumoured girlfriend and boyfriend to becoming each other’s confirmed and official husband and wife. Finally.”

Sonakshi and Zaheer, who shared the screen in the 2022 film Double XL, have been dating each other for seven years now.
