Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, who died at the age of 87, once described Bollywood star Akshay Kumar as his “true successor”, especially when it came to portray the characters who are a deep love for the country.

In an earlier interview with the media, Kumar said, “I have always considered my successor to my successor, when it comes to portraying patriotism on screen. Namaste in London, his sequence of ‘Hai Preet Jaha Ki Reat Sada’ was his entertainment hearty and authent.

Akshay Kumar paid tribute to an experienced artist on social media. He shared a post on X, in which read, “I learn from them that there is no feeling like love and pride for our country. And if we actor will not lead to showing this feeling, then who will be such a good person, and the biggest property of our community.

Actor-Filmekar died on Friday at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai, Mumbai. He was 87 years old. PM Modi mourned death with Hardik Note on social media.

Manoj Kumar was known for his patriotic films. Some of his hit films include Purba and Paschim, Kranti and Roti, Capada and Houses, some of which are named. His films earned him Monikar, ‘Bharat Kumar’. Kumar was the recipient of a National Film Award and Seven Filmfare Awards.
