Sean Didi Comombs won a small win in front of his trial! On Monday, March 31, a federal judge dismissed one of the sexual harassment cases filed against humiliated rapper after failing to identify the plaintiff.
In October 2024, the accused filed a case against Comombs in the southern district of New York under Jane Door. In the trial, he accused the rapper of raping a party in 1995.
In the ruling ruling by Peepal magazine, Judge Louis J. Limon revealed that on 20 March, the plaintiff was warned to enter the suit using his real name to proceed with the case, but it failed to oblige.
The plaintiff has not filed a complaint in his name, nor has he sought an extension of time to do so. Accordingly, the case has been dismissed, “the statement said. The legal team of Comombs reacted to the verdict and praised the judge’s decision in a statement.
He alleged that for months, he saw persons anonymously filing. These plaintiffs were represented by lawyers, who were more keen to make media spectacles from complaints than demanding legal qualifications.
The legal team of rapper said, “Other claims, such as dismissed today, will not happen in the court of law.” The woman who used Jane Doo in the filing is depicted by high-profile Houston Attorney, Tony Buzbi.
He is representing several alleged sexual harassment victims, who have filed anonymity against the rapper. Music Mogul’s lawyers revealed that it was the second of several cases filed by Bazabi, which was rejected.
“It won’t be final,” the lawyers announced. In September last year, Combs was arrested on several federal allegations, including sex trafficking and racketoring. He has requested not to be guilty for all the allegations, and the case will begin in May.
