Malayalam film L2: Imapuran, starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is enjoying a dream at the global box office, crossing a mark of Rs 200 crore within just five days of their release. The makers of the Blockbuster Actioner confirmed that the film achieved this milestone within five days. With this, Ampuran crossed the record of Chhawa, the fastest to reach Rs 200 crore this year.

Read the caption of the post shared on Monday, the film had already crossed the initial collection of Chhawa, which according to Sacillaq used to earn Rs 138 crore worldwide within its first three days. Now, Ampuran has once again entered the club of Rs 200 crore and carried out the chhawa forward. In the seven days, he reached the milestone in seven days.

Meanwhile, L2: Empuraan has shook the controversy over the portrayal of riots with Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, who faced online backlash for its creative options. The film is now censored again, and the edited version is set to release on 2 April. Allegedly, a three-minute long sequence will be removed along with a few words.

Impuran hit theaters on 27 March and is played by Prithviraj Sukumaran. It is the sequel to Lucifer (2019) and is also acting in important roles between Abhimainu Singh, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas and Suraj Venjaramudu, others.
