L2: Mohanlal starring Mohanlal in the lead role is fully prepared to hit a big screen on 27 March 2025. Next to the film’s release, L2 director, Prithviraj Sukumaran, was asked if Fahd Fasil had a cameo in the film, and his response was satirical.
In a special chat with Pinkvilla, the actor said, “Yes, Fahd Fasil, Tom Cruise and even Robert de Niro are playing cameo in the film.”
Explaining the ongoing rumors, Prithviraj confirmed that Fahd Fasil is not a part of the film and said, “No, Shanu (Fahd) is not in the film, nor is Tom Cruise, by the way.”
The filmmaker said, “I have to tell you that when we started casting for Luusifer 2, we had a clear desire list of actors. Initially, I had some big names in my mind and managed to join the really famous actors of American, British and Chinese film industries,” said the filmmaker.
Prithviraj then continued, “Nine out of ten people gave me the freedom to go on a call and an Indian film, especially very keen to cooperate on this particular film. But when agents come, they try to get the most money for their actors. Unfortunately, how much I could spend on this film.”
Prithviraj also revealed that Mohanlal has not taken a single penny as a remuneration for the film.
