Olympus Capital Asia invests in Aster DM Healthcare at Rs.  1,530 crore sold 9% stake

New Delhi, Hong Kong-based Olympus Capital Asia on Friday bought hospital chain Aster DM Healthcare through an open market transaction for Rs. 1,530 crore sold 9% stake. Investment firm Olympus Capital Asia, through its arm Olympus Capital Asia Investments, offloaded shares of Dubai-based Aster DM Healthcare on BSE.

According to bulk deal data available with BSE, Olympus Capital Asia Investments sold 4.50 crore shares or 9 per cent stake in Aster DM Healthcare in two phases.

Disposal of shares Rs. 340-340.13 was done in the price range, bringing the transaction value to Rs. 1,530.08 crores.

After the latest transaction, Olympus Capital Asia’s shareholding in Aster DM Healthcare has come down to 1.1 percent from 10.1 percent.

Meanwhile, Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund, Government of Singapore and Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore bought a total of 1.24 crore shares of Aster DM Healthcare.

Purchase of shares at an average of Rs. 340, bringing the combined transaction size to Rs. 423.31 crores.

Details of other buyers of Aster DM Healthcare shares are not known.

On Friday, shares of Aster DM Healthcare rose 2.78 percent on the BSE to Rs. closed at 366.25.

In March this year, private equity firm Olympus Capital Asia on Wednesday bought Aster DM Healthcare for Rs. 1,978 crore sold 9.8 percent stake.
