There is some magical about the roads of Old Delhi-its lively chaos, the aroma of sizzling kebabs, and the legacy of flavors passed through generations. I recently got a chance to experience this attraction without stepping into the crowded streets of Chandni Chowk, which thanks to the Signature Food Festival of New Delhi Okhla in the 15th edition of Dilli 6-Dahalij-e-Dilli, Crown Plaza.
Step into the festival was like entering a time capsule. The atmosphere took me directly to the heart of the old Deli, with heritage -inspired decorations, stirring food stalls and fragrant fragrance of spices in the air. Every detail was carefully curated to bring the actual essence of Deli 6, from vintage installation to live tenders.
As a food lover, I was eager to dive into experience. I started with peas kulche, a touch and spicy joy that immediately woke up my taste buds. Paneer Changezi Paratha was followed, with the correct balance of rich and creamy taste. But the real bhog began with slowly slow mutton Nihari-with its tender meat spontaneously melting, freshly baked khameri roti. Helim’s hearty summer was another attraction, its silk texture and deep, comfortable taste made every spoon memorable.

No trip to an Old Delhi Food Festival is fulfilled without a dessert, and I was not going without trying to try Zarda rice, fragrant and lightly, as well as the right end of my food with the velvet kulfi. A fresh glass of Masala Chas balances prosperity, leaving me both satisfied and indifferent.

The one who stood the most was the authenticity of experience. It was not just about eating; It was about giving relief to the timeless culinary traditions of Delhi. Behind this immersive journey, Marketing and Communications Manager, Samvedana was the vision of Suman, who, along with the Pak team, ensured that a tribute to the rich gastronomic heritage of the city to the atmosphere in every detail.
Dilli 6-Dahleej-e-Dilli is more than just a food festival; It is a celebration of taste, culture and history. If you are someone who cherishes the attraction of mythological cuisine in Old Delhi.
