The popular YRF spies made by Aditya Chopra is a series of detective action films in the universe. All the films released in the universe succeeded due to the reputed characters played by the B-town stars. Among them are Ashutosh Rana, who was seen as Colonel Sunil Luthra and 2023 action thriller movie Pathan in the 2019 film war, including Shahrukh Khan. As two upcoming films in the universe, War 2 and Alpha are soon set to entertain the audience, Rana confirmed his return to films.
Talking to Bollywood Hungama, veteran Bollywood actor Ashutosh Rana confirmed that he would return to the upcoming YRF Spy Universe films. Speaking to the publication, the actor said that his character Colonel Sunil Luthra is important for the universe. Therefore, he will be seen in War 2 of Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani and NT Ram Rao Junior.
Saying that Rana also revealed that the first female -led film in the universe, Alpha, would also see her return as Colonel Luthra. “Of course, I will stay there. Colonel Luthra, finally, is an important character in the series, ”said the senior actor. Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor for unknown alpha stars.
For unheard -discourse, War 2 is the sixth installment of the shared universe and the 2019 film, the sequel to the war. Directed by Ayan Mukherjee, it is scheduled to release on August 14, 2025. On the other hand, Alpha is a seventh installment and the first female-elevated film in the universe. Directed by Shiva Rayel, it is scheduled to release on 25 December, 2025.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ashutosh Rana was seen as Sarsenapati Hambiro Mohit in Chha, led by Vicky Kaushal. The historic-Drama film, which starred by Laxman YouTekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, also includes Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. Earlier this month, Rana also acted in the romantic comedy film, Lvavpa. Directed by Advaita Chandan, it stars Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan along with Grusha Kapoor and Kiku Sharda. It has the beginning of a large screen of happiness and Junaid.
