Ajit Kumar -led action thriller Vidamuirchi is struggling at the box office. Magis Thirumani direction is watching a drop with each passing day continuously.
Vidamuyarchi earned just Rs 3 crore on 1 Tuesday
Bancolrolled by Lyca Productions, Vidamuyarchi recorded a major decline on its first Monday after a good early weekend of Rs 61 crore in Tamil Nadu. The film added only Rs 3.5 crore in 5 days, which took the total cum to Rs 64.50 crore.
According to estimates, Vidamuirchi first saw another decline on Tuesday and could add only Rs 3 crore to Tally. The total collection of Vidamuyarchi is now Rs 67.50 crore at the KollyWood box office.
Although the film has already emerged as the biggest grocer of Tamil cinema this year, this figure is not justifying Ajit Kumar’s stardom. Given its current trends, the film will soon save its dramatic run in Home State under a point of Rs 100 crore.
Average Word-off-Mouth reduces the business of the vidamuirchi
The Maggies Thirumani film met with mixed-bag reactions between the audience and critics. This is a major reason why it could not see the success that was expected. Its global cum is expected to be wrapped less than Rs 150 crore, which is a low result.
The film emerges as Ajit Kumar’s third largest grossing film, which crosses Valimai. However, its box office decision will be below the average. If the film was met with a brilliant word, the box office picture could have been much better.
Ajit Kumar, set to hit the screen in April 2025, will be seen in good bed ugly. It will be interesting to see how it performs at the box office.
