Spotify told the user that mother’s account was canceled after her death

Mobile applications have made significant progress to become more interactive and user friendly. But despite these progress, they struggle to fully understand and repeat human feelings in real -life situations. After a reddit user conversation with Spotify, he attempted to cancel his mother’s music-app membership, the same happened after his death.

The automatic response to the app was both humor and unhappy, surprising the individual and many Redit users. In his post, the user mentioned: “I canceled my dead mother’s spotf and it did not go as expected.”

He posted screenshots of the conversation, in which the app sought the reason behind the cancellation. The reasons listed on the app were technical issues, high fees and others. Instead of choosing from the options provided, the user typed “I am dead” from his mother.

After cancellation of the account, the app replied with a message, “It is difficult to say goodbye. But it is easy to re -include the premium.” The app created the playlist “Abhida” for his mother with the title of songs for his mother. The title of the song on the playlist reads, “If you. You leave. Now. Now you will take away. The biggest. The biggest. Part of us.”

“It’s cheerful and sad. I think it is automatic and they did not know that I was canceling because my mother died. But the playlist was very funny. I was a good laughter about it. Was crying and thought that other people could appreciate the irony, ”he wrote in the comment section.

Many reddit users reacted with condolences and shared their experiences of dealing with automated reactions from companies after losing a loved one. One user wrote, “I had the same problem with T mobile when my mother died. No one used the phone, I had to mail to the actual copy of the death certificate and they still refused to cancel the account for months. ,

Another said, “I am very sorry for your loss, Spotify is trying to help with a little dark humor.”

The third user commented, “My condolences, however, hopeful that a touch of dark humor will help you to be the worst.”

Broadly a year ago, another Redditt user shared that his friend canceled his Spotify membership and received a “goodbye” playlist.

My friend canceled his membership today due to the unavailability of his favorite songs. He got this after canceling, in which a song is missing. Ironically lol.

The person canceled the membership due to the unavailability of many songs. It was all made fun that even a song from his “goodbye” playlist was missing.
