Kannada actor Rachita Ram on Darshan case: I can’t believe my guru is involved in it
Kannada actress Rachita Ram shared her thoughts on Darshan’s arrest in the Renukaswamy murder case. She said that Darshan had introduced her to the film industry.
Kannada actress Rachita Ram opened up about the ongoing Darshan case. She shared a post on X in which she expressed her surprise at seeing her guru’s alleged involvement in Renukaswamy’s murder. She revealed that Darshan was the one who introduced her to cinema. So far, Divya Spandana, Ram Gopal Varma, Upendra and Kiccha Sudeep have shared their views on the murder case that has been in the headlines for the past few days.
In a statement written in Kannada, Rachita said that she is writing it as a common citizen and not as an actor.
Her statement roughly translates to, “I pray for the departed soul, Renukaswami. Hope her family gets strength to bear this loss. I hope justice is delivered in this murder case.”
Talking about Darshan, she wrote, “Darshan introduced me to the cinema industry. He is like my guru. I can’t believe that the person who used to correct my mistakes and guide me is involved in this case. I am confident that the police will bring out the truth. Hope the media will be fair and transparent in its reporting.”

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, also known as Darshan, was arrested in the murder case on June 11. Actor Pavithra Gowda and 10 others were arrested for their alleged involvement in Renukaswamy’s murder.
The man had allegedly sent abusive messages to Pavithra Gowda, which led to his abduction. He was later found dead on the Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru.
