Ever since Karthik Aryan announced Aashiqui 3 in 2022, fans are quite excited about the upcoming project. After a long waiting and high expectation, the film finally has an update on the film. Director Anurag revealed that the shooting would begin in March 2025.

Providing a major update on the upcoming filmAnurag revealed that the film is in its pre-production phase, with the shooting with shooting starting in March.

“We haven’t started shooting yet. We will start shooting next month.” Anurag told Annie.

The film is jointly produced by huge films and T-series. Details about the female lead I have to be made public yet.

Aashiqui 3 has the first on-screen cooperation between Anurag and Karthik. The original 1990 film was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. It starred Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal mainly.

In 2013, Mohit Suri revived Prem Rishi Aashiqui 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor.

Earlier in January 2025, there were reports that Triptii Dimri is out of the project As the manufacturers felt it was not a good fit for the role.
