Basant Panchami (or Vasant Panchami) is around the corner, and you know what it means: the sun is shining, the weather is perfect, and nature is in its best form. In the Hindu calendar, Basant Panchami Mag falls on the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month, and is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. There are different traditions based on the region of this festival celebrated all over India. In the past, all this is about Saraswati Puja, while South celebrates it as ‘Shri Panchami’.
